WHAT IS WET ROT?
Wet rot is a fungal growth caused by an excess of moisture, usually at least 50%. There are a number of varieties of wet rot fungus, but no matter the type you have they can all cause significant damage to your timber. It’s important to act as soon as you discover wet rot, to prevent further damage to your property.

We will identify the root cause of the problem and recommend the right solution. Our team will remedy any damp ingress, and advise on issues which are not related to damp (such as leaking pipes) if they are the problem.
Once the root issue is fixed, we’ll get to work removing the damaged timbers. The area is dried out, damaged timber is cut out, and fresh treated timber is installed. The affected area is also treated to prevent future rot issues.
